In 2002, aware of the challenges faced by children with disabilities, a group of woman decided to pool their resources in an effort to help local families and children with special needs. Today, Friends of Special Children, (FOSC), a 501c(3) non-profit organization, consists of thirty active member volunteers and continues to assist and enhance the lives of children with special needs in Chattanooga.
