H♥ART Gallery ,Tennessee is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization with the mission of offering homeless persons and other non-traditional artists an opportunity to create and sell their artwork for their benefit

In 2002, aware of the challenges faced by children with disabilities, a group of woman decided to pool their resources in an effort to help local families and children with special needs. Today, Friends of Special Children, (FOSC),a 501c(3) non-profit organization, consists of thirty active member volunteers and continues to assist and enhance the lives of children with special needs in Chattanooga.

Early in our tenure we worked in Chattanooga for the School of the Deaf, and local special needs camps. In 2004 FOSC came to Signal Centers whose mission is to strengthen children, adults and families through services focusing on disabilities, early childhood education and self-sufficiency. Signal Centers’ school and services support over 120 children with disabilities and 55 geriatric and/or disabled adults.

In September 2015 Friends of Special Children celebrated 10 years of hosting the ABC fundraising event and it marked us having raised over $1 million dollars for the children of Signal Centers. The children remain our greatest inspiration and it is with great honor and humble hearts that we continue our mission to serve them.
